boglin wrote:It annoys me too as that is an unnecessary job for the Seller when addressing the package - but what I do is copy and paste the address into Word, then select the Format tool and go to 'Change Case' where I select 'Upper Case' - the I simply use the result to print the address label.
This is better for overseas addresses too as there are more strict regulations about the address format to some countries, e.g. Canada.
If you have a series of USA addresses you can also use the 'Edit' 'Replace' tool to change 'United States' to 'United States of America' (also required by RM nowadays or so I am led to believe!)
Hope that helps.
Very good tips there as I am sick of spending time also correcting peoples addresses. I too had got like soolin where I don't make an effort any more.
I send a lot of parcels to USA and I always send them off as UNITED STATES.0 -

No house number or suffix as you say? Well I dont have either of those - my house just has a name and is in a village - no 'road' or 'avenue' on the address!Weight Loss - 102lb0 -

Ah, yeah, that's fine! This buyer had omitted them by mistake!"You're only given a little spark of madness. You mustn't lose it."0 -
I just copy the names and addresses as they appear now. I used to correct them all the time.
Print the invoice and post it out.
Arghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh really does drive me NUTS!!!!0 -
Hi,
I'm in Scotland - and I just don't know what places like Notts/North Hants/Herts are - I don't know why people shorten stuff in their address thing - so I just put down what they have and hope for the best!

It really annoys me when people squish the first few lines together, and then end up filling the last 3 with "London London London" or similar!Murphy's No More Pies Club #209

I have to have london twice on mine, as ebay asks you for your county, as its a required field (for some reason)
I think my area of London is in Middlesex, but it's easier to put London, again, as not everyone knows about counties, so some people may just think im taking the !!!!!!.
Well thats what my paranoid mind says
Either way, sorry for the two Londons :-/0 -
I agree the people who don't trype there address into PayPal using the correct format really do annoy me! As mentioned earlier its another job for the seller, but to put it in context it is only a small annoyance, I wouldn't stress out too much!:jStuff Happens As Wave of Ambiguity Spreads:cool:0
