What make of digibox have you got? Can you let us know what the onscreen message states verbatim?

It's approx 7 months old, it's a Thomson 122_047

105 117 and 135 says Channel Unavailable

I have tried putting the old blue card that no longer works in it but it makes no difference.

The blue card was renewed with a white card, but my daughter is using that in a older Sky+ box, hence the new Sky box has no card.

Channel 117 is Channel 4 on the EPG for a card linked to an address in Wales? FIVE is free to air on such a card.

It sounds very much like a power supply unit (PSU) fault within your digibox. Grundig (Thomson) versions are notorious for it.

You could switch the box off overnight and see what happens when you reboot the next day. Additionally, with the box switched on you could try removing the satellite cable from the back of the box and immediately reconnecting it.

One thing is certain: this is not a card issue, as one is not needed for the channels you have a problem with, aside from giving you your correct regional EPG.

I left box off overnight, it still did not work, so put in old card and then C135 came on.
