Hi ladies (and gent/s!)
I am finally starting to think about buying the essentials and i know that when i had DS (6.5 yrs ago!) i found the Morrisons breast pads to be the most absorbant and yet they were cheapest, all the others seemed too thin. Well i think the expensive Avent ones would be better but i was and am going for cheap and effective!
So are the Morrisons ones still any good? If not, which ones are?0 -
I saw the lego glitch but it was mostly out of stock when i checked, might have another gander though0

SM have a look at www.halfcost.co.uk - they have a bunch of arty bits in the £1 section as well as manicure type stuff, code FF15 gets you 10% off and if you go over £25 there's free del at the moment.
 at your MIL. Did she not notice you had a baby?!Might make some little pressies from Jack though!
I recommend painting his feet and hands and making foot/handprints on paper then putting those and a cute photo (find a lovely one and use one of the many free prints offers) in a £1 frame.
Again, I love Christmas and Christmas shopping, so if anyone's looking for ideas please shout up
My mother's just booked to come and see us next monththe 18th-23rd November. So:
Saturday: party (will show my face but not stay long; Husband's not going at all and nor is Molly cause the venue's a smoking venue but one of us has to go)
Next weekend: Halloween party (again, face-showing type of deal but a costume will be involved)
Weekend after: have something on but don't remember what
Weekend after: Paris!
Weekend after: Mother coming
Weekend after: friends coming
Weekend after: conference
Weekend after: frantic organising
Weekend after: leave for Christmas!!
Phew. But I'm seriously excited :j:j:j
Also exciting: Husband and a friend have been planning on going into partnership to run a bar/restaurant. There was a perfect location that I found but that refused to think of a food place being put in, but after two years of its being on the market they've finally agreed. It's going to need some serious work - but it looks like it's all going to come together
I'm so happy for Husband; it's been so hard watching them trying to find the right location and not getting there.
Edit: Beenie; I found that the Avent ones were crap.
And the Lego glitch has been spotted and fixedOrganised Birthdays and Christmas: Spend So Far: £193.75; Saved from RRP £963.76

hi beenie

Not sure if it was a one off but they seem to be quite good but I never really leaked much!A very busy Yummy Mummy to a 1 year old gorgeous boy :smileyhea
Where does the time go? :think:0 -
Tia it's Tim Roth
and I agree!
Oh yes, yumalishous!Yeah, we were wondering how awake he was; but we had left him crying for a few minutes - during which it ramped up - before going in, so I sort of assume that even if he wasn't full awake he was going to get there. Dunno really. Hopefully doesn't happen again tonight then I shan't need to know
Thanks Tia; maybe a bit glazed. As above, it seemed like he was working himself up and doing that was dragging him progressively out of sleep, but I find it hard to tellespecially in the dark at 3am when a little confused myself!
He was a bit better today, no real "illness" signs, 3 dirty nappies which is very unusual for him when well, and very fragile - a lot of sharp angry screams when thwarted at anything at all. Think he is teething a molar which is a bonus misery for him I guess!.
DS1 is very bad for night terrors, in bed at 7pm, asleep for 8pm and screaming for 2-3am. However, if we semi wake him (or he gets up for a pee on his own) at 11pm he doesn't do it. The semi-waking interupts the sleeping pattern. And his are triggered by any type of stress like a bad day at school or even... a bout of illness.
It's horrible to watch, he just screams but doesn't see you at all and gets worse if you touch him. I have to just sit on the edge of his bed and talk calmly to him and it passes after about 5mins that seems like forever.
Speaking of illness, Chris is back in nappies due to the stinky viral diadiddly. One day I will try toilet training that boy without him getting VD! Livingroom stinks after DH changed his nappy about an hour ago. He is looking a bit better after it though.
DH is out the back with our neighbour and a manly manly fire (well, BBQ full of crap), I think Ill get him one of those fire pits for his christmas :cool:0 -

Johnsons, £1.70ish for 30, but they are very absorbant. I am biased, all the others I tried gave me a rashHow you doing anyway? Has babies dad been behaving?
