  • You might find she starts to settle once her meals get bigger, does she wake to be fed or wake just for the sake of it IYSWIM? or is it the whole thing of getting her down in the first place. Hope youunderstand what I'm meaning?

I understand what you mean :D

before she became poorly, she was having a small breakfast (half a wheatabix/baby cereal of some sort), lunch (veg with cheese and half a small jar of a pudding or fruit) and dinner (would be meat with veg and rest of pudding or yoghurt). she was having some milk inbetween but she is not a major fan.

protein being added to lunch and dinner meals was a suggestion by the HV.

to be honest, i think she wakes for the sake of it, although at the minute, teething is an issue.

i have started to give her water during the night instead of milk as i know she is not waking out of hunger.

i nurse her to sleep so she does not go off on her own. i have no problem nursing her to sleep if she would then stay asleep.

    happy to hear opinions/suggestions/experiences :D

  • MM I think I'll try dentinox first and use dermax as a last resort have you seen the flippin price of it lol!!!! Not that I begrudge for my babe or anything lol

AF Teething is a bad time and sometimes they do just need that extra bit of comfort. El has always been a good sleeper but when she does wake (like last nite)I go thru don't pick her up, unless she is inconsolable (possible bad dream) give her a kiss tuck her back in and say goodnight, I then come out the room and if she cries I leave her for up 5 mins then go abck in settle her down again sometimes I need a firm hand on her bum to hold her down sometimes I need to do that for a couple of mins then all the time sushin (sssshhhh) her. this will not all apply to you but the not picking up and just sushing her not speaking but just letting her know your there might be enough just to settle her, or if you rub her and sush her. I found whenevr I allowed El to start sleeping on her front, her choice that is when she started sleeping alot better. Altho at 6 months I think I was still using her blocks to keep her on her side as she wouldn't sleep on her back. Ok I'm rambling now so I'll shut up
