on another note: can i ask those who have an almost 2year old, just gone 2 year old (im thinking scruffy, susan?, SB...cant think of anyone else of topof my head) what stage is your LO at for talking??? Im getting concerned about Katies speech.

Carla, Poppy is really good with her speech and talks in very clear sentences. But I wouldn't worry at all at the moment and I'm not sure HV's would be overly concerned until she is over 2 (I think thats the case with walking and talking in my area).

thats good thanks scruffy. El is all but 2 days off a calender month younger than Katie, so glad they are doing the same stuffs!!
sounds bad, but i always compare Katie with what El and Poppy are doing, as those are the 2 that i remember is more or less a month older/younger than Katie.
    Carla-Farla!! :)

yea she is tia....leme think: NO! haha. Mummy and Dada, juice, woof-woof, quackquack, and a new one that she said when nanny poured her a glass of water the other day is -- coke !!??! lol), stuck, nomnom! :) Katie. they are all the ones i can think of from toppa my head!
its nt so much slurring as...eemmm, only way i can try n explain it is she uses the same sound for all the syllable sin the word? does that make sense to you?? She babbles away aswell, like comes to me and gives me a full babble all matter-of-fact, and when i dont respond correctly, she takes my hand and shows or at least tries to show me what it is she is talking about.

She sounds fine to my limited experience  Gotta remember that it' shard work to make those little mouths make the correct shapes.

    Just thought i'd check in.

Been a hard day here as i've started to wind down the breastfeeding in readiness for going back to work in 2 weeks. Today and yesterday, I did the morning feeds till 10:30am, then she was bottle fed until 6:30pm when I resumed BF. The 4am feed was also BF. I'm going to continue this over the weekend and then start cutting down the morning feed so I stop BF at 7:30am.

She's used to being fed to sleep, so its been really horrible. She hardly ever cries and we've had a few minutes of mamamamama whyyyyyyyyy (or thats what it sounds like) into my shoulder (complete with dribble patch). It felt like an eternity though. We've had 3 of those sessions pre-nap and pre- last sleep but we have come out the otherside.

Daddy hasnt been too helpful with comments like 'give her to me as she's crying' and 'why are you forcing her to sleep' but he just doesnt get it. I dont want to give in and BF her because its so important that I wind this down slowly rather than leave it to a couple of days before I go back to work. I just want to go to bed and cry now.

I didnt realise stopping BF was going to be so hard. I cant believe i'm saying that when it wasnt so long ago that continuing BF seemed so difficult!!!

Elle - I enjoyed your update earlier!

Tigs - hugs for horrible scan

Glam - gentle kisses for little bellybuttons

Tara - an extra dose of hugs for you

Feelie - glad to see your about and congrats of the 6 months mark

Brain is mushy so I forget what else there was to say but love and kisses to all xxx
