susan what's OH's christmas job?
do handmade christmas gifts prove to be a bit of a struggle in both your families? Sounds like there's quite a few things it's best to avoid. All for good reasons I'm sure
I need to sew my mum a fat christmas stocking to put all her little bits in (she and I have very different ideas on our philosophy of christmas!)...
Bruno, I sorry. Not do t'again;)

Bruno, good weather for mating season, apparently.. the reason for all the spids, you were asking a while ago. There's something about it on BBC Breakfast this morning *shudder*
Wondered where you were going with thatthey seem to have massively decreased in the last couple of weeks actually, around here.

thats it on the nose :T
I read while I feed Dylan and get Jas packed lunch ready, although I am still sitting on the sofa with Dylan instead of getting my lazy daughters bum out of bed !!The two best things I have done with my life

Weezl, just remembered your post re t-shirts as an email this morning reminded me! Vistaprint do some free ones using their stock designs HERE and you pay P&P (standard is £3.40 for 14 days delivery). I've ordered lots before but never a t-shirt so can't comment on quality. HTH!

I'm on page 24, so still catching up, but I have a baby question for you...
As I mentioned yesterday, Caitlin hasn't been "right" for a couple of days (this is nothing to do with her jabs) and we wondered whether she was teething. I thought I could see two very small lumps at the front on her lower gum, but now I'm not so sure. She won't let me keep my finger in her mouth long enough to touch them.
Anyway, she is now getting really really fussy when I'm boobie feeding her. This morning she had a 10min feed with no problems but then she kept coming off, going back on for two or three sucks, coming off, going back on for another two of three sucks etc. I thought maybe she had wind so sat her up to wind her but she wanted to go back on, so I put her back on and the same thing happened. I tried her on the other side and the same thing happened again.
I managed to get a quick look in her mouth and there is a white lump on her gum. It's on the top of her gum (like where a tooth would come through) but is on the side rather than at the front. I can't tell if it's a tooth or an ulcer or something else (not sure what though). Can babies get ulcers? Is it an odd place for a first tooth to come through?
She's just fallen back to sleep with a dummy so I can't stick my finger in and have a feel but will have a go when she wakes up.
She doesn't seem to have the same coming off, going on, coming off issues when she has a bottle (maybe because the teat goes further in her mouth than my nipple?) so if she keeps doing this coming off, going on thing, I might have to express more and bottle feed her so it isn't uncomfortable for her. I don't want her to start associating my boobies with pain.
Does this sound familiar to anyone?
P.S I'm not looking for medical advice.0 -
