Didnt think so, am intrigued now as to when she is due.......probably after me

Maz - have been investigating ;)

She told us she was TTC on 7th July...on 17th July she was saying she was very, very tired!

I am guessing it could be a March Baby

Agutka, we had to use syringes with DS2, wrap him in towel, pinch to open his mouth and squirt it in slowly towards the cheek (seemed to stop the gag reflex). Even now (he is 4) he has to be really ill to take it voluntary. When he was 18months he had pneumonia and was in hospital for a week, the nurses gave him a corrected dose of 6+ paracetamol because it was less for them to give him, then they decided to just give him everything by his IV rather than risk him struggling and choking on the oral meds!

I'm guilty of half a job too.. although OH would probably say it's more like a quarter of a job sometimes! :o

I've been clearing out paperwork. Found a pile of paperwork that at first glance I thought was rubbish - turned out be lots of important stuff for OH inc lots of car docs! I'm making us a pile of paperwork each and I'm going to make him sit with me and file it all soon. I've even bought filing boxes for it! ;)

Next job is to repack clothes into my wardrobe and chests of drawers, bearing in mind I still have two huge vac bags at my mum's too! :o

Expressing and dinner first.. fun never end here! :o

Ooooh that crossstich book looks good, I'd give it to OH's mum for Xmas but he says that she has enough crappy books about cross stitch, oh well!
  • Hi all, not sure if you all saw my panicky post about my friend going into early labour (32 weeks) a few days ago.

Just wanted to say thank you again for your advice and reassurance - which I passed on to her and her OH - and the stay put vibes - bloody hell do they work or what?! :j :T

Her contractions stopped yesterday afternoon and she's been allowed home to rest. She still has to have some tests regarding her liver function but she's bright as a button and glad to be allowed home. Plus the steroids are all on board, so should the baby make a break for it she'll be even better equipped for the big-wide world. :D

Thanks again ladies :A, its great that this thread exists, asking real people about their experiences is far more reassuring than googling for them

we solved the stuff in boxes still from moving problem by chucking most of it out/freecycling/ebaying :o

we had a firm rule that if we hadnt used it in a year and it wasnt of sentimental value it would go! OH tried to keep a few things like old games consoles he hadnt played on in years but i was evil and they went :D we now have a few bits of random crap under the bed in pampers boxes but thats it now. it will be a LOT easier to move house next time. we now have less crap lying around in our 2 bed house than we did in our 1 bed studio flat!
The things is - a lot of it is stuff that we do use but either haven't found yet or else haven't made space to unpack it. OH was complaining of clothing shortages for a couple of months before I found a suitcase full of underwear and just yesterday I found his Sunday shirt which had been AWOL and a few other clothes of his.

I'm about to move the computer so if I'm not around for a long time it probably means it hasn't worked.

Gah, Elijah has learned how to climb onto the sofa and plunge off it again - hardwood floors - front room is no longer remotely baby safe :( I caught him about an inch from the ground face-first just now. He should be napping anyway but he has refused today and I don't have the energy for a screaming crying half hour! He may have begun to grasp "no", when we give him a firm enough no he stops what he's doing, turns round and shouts "NEH NEH NEH" at us!
