A lot of women experience weight gain and lack of sex drive on it, but I don't know if my huge weight increases were down to that, or the masses of cakes I ate. Is there a non-hormonal coil? Would that be an option?
I'd never have the depo ever again, i ballooned when i went on it it was rediculous!:j Baby boy Number 2, arrived 12th April 2009!:j0 -

I can't believe how busy this thread is!
3 - I can only talk for my situation, but I am so glad we changed Kai from a CM to Nursery. DH was always concerned about the 'childminders have their own life' issues which was actually proven when we turned up to collect Kai on his first day with the one we had him with! And although she banged on about the fact that Kai was not on a one-to-one care basis in nursery as he was with her, this was not exactly true anyway as she had 2 other children during school hours and after school she had additional kids as well as her own two... At nursery he is on a three-to-one basis and there is always two nursery workers AT ALL TIMES in the baby room...so two adults to deal with any situations that arise(nappies/feeds/upsets) Plus the benefit of being around other kids his own age, which wasn't the case at the CM's. It really is a matter of personal choice, but we also were chatting to a friend who has a friend that works as a childminder and she was telling us that the kids her friend minds literally get taken around to peoples houses/out shopping etc...we decided that a home-from-home enviroment was not actually what we wanted.......well not when it was not our home iygwim!!
I am feeling a bit down today - It's my birthday and I am now 30!!! I miss being in my 20's already and have a bit of the birthday blues. It doesn't help that dh is out at Uni, the kids at school, and Kai is fast asleep so i'm also feel a bit lonely.

Me too - I put loads of weight on, but the doc. said it wasn't the depo, it was too much cake. It was strange because I don't like chocolate really - but really craved it and ate loads with the depo!Buttonmoons wrote: »I bought a sealed money saving pot from the Chemist the other day
Everyone is up except OH who's sleeping off his night out. Hmmmm - how long should I leave him in peace?
I've no idea what time he came in, I popped DD's dummy in at around 2ish and he wasn't here then.:beer:0 -
