Someone remind me to take back Keira's dvds to the library, they are 2 weeks late  got a letter today about it! No fee like but still, feel bad for havin them for so long (even though they are rubbish movies and all scratched and stick half way thru!) Schools close for 2weeks after tomorrow up here so Im not sure if the library will be open or not so best get it back!

Im feeling really queasy right now, ate something thinking that would make me feel better, it didn't. Might just have an early night.....or a bubble bath. Hmmm

Lidl have some little puzzles in right now, I picked up 2 to put in Keira's stocking filler at Crimbo. It's ones where you'd attached say number one onto the picture of 1 whale or whatever, hoping it will help her recognize numbers, right now all she knows is the number 3, and she just guesses the others even though I've went through it SO many times with her, Im sure she just ignores me.

If I point to number 3 and says what number is that, she will say 3, If I point to number 5 and she doesn't know she will say "Uhhhhhmmm stinky bum poopy pie head" yeah great stuff!

yay glam and sami stick around :D x

I will - am just eating chocolate ice cream and managed to drop some on Jack's head :o He's lying on my chest again!

MFD - I will get it in there ASAP. I thought that people could leave but with it being a big hospital whilst people do leave the waiting list is quite long. Even if I only got a couple of days to start of with and use a childminder for the others, I might get a full time place eventually.

It's £30 for a full day (max 9 hours) - If I have to go back full time, I'm going to do 8am-4pm 5 days, was going to do 5 days in 4 but then realised by the time I was getting home it would be time for Jack's bed and I'd never see him :( and also with it being a max of 9hours I'd need to reduce my hours anyway.

Hopefully, OH will get a job so I can afford to go back 30 hours a week and just do 4 days. Hoping that makes some sense!

Elle - just to let you know the post hasn't arrived yet. Will let you know (didn't want you to think I was being an ungrateful moo and not saying Thanks :p)
A very busy Yummy Mummy to a 1 year old gorgeous boy :smileyhea

Where does the time go?

mac, i'm going back to work 3 days a week, and by the time i've been taxed and paid a childminder £60pw of my measly £150pw wages - thats before tax! - i'm going to be much worse off than i am currently. the tax credits people dont give a flying monkeys about us either for some reason and arent going to help us at all with childcare costs. i've cut our budget so much there isnt even anywhere else i can reasonably cut it further. the only way we could be better off was to go back full time, have OH look after seth two days a week, CM two days and MIL one day, but the thought of leaving seth with others and having no days together as a family makes me physically sick!

situation is doubly stressful for me as i have 20k of debt to pay off, which clearly isnt going to happen. i have an agreement with the CCCS to pay £5pm to each of my creditors on a temporary basis, which doesnt even cover the interest they are all applying. i was hoping to be able to up this when i went back to work but theres no way i can!

sorry for the doom and gloom post :o

didn't mean to depress you em - sorry love! My personal view is that I think it's mad that the government is so keen to get every mum working when the babies are so small. Once they are at school/free nursery places, I totally understand, but why are they not helping those who need it and are only trying their hardest to contribute.
Seriously??? Marley is going for this kind of scan next week (well, it's dye and an x-ray), and the leaflet they've sent doesn't mention anything about avoiding people etc. As it's in the same hospital, we rather thought we'd go and see Andrew after-wards. Might have to look into that.

    Anyway .....................

Guess who's a big boy now? He's been promoted out of his incubator into a cot, on the basis of his weight (1.5kg) and being able to maintain his own temperature! (Mind you, he's in a vest, babygro, cardigan, hat and was then swaddled and placed under two blankets ..... oven-roast turkey anyone?)

And I'm happy because I've finally got the loan breastpump - hospital grade double - let's see if my production rate now increases! :T

tigs - this picture made me cry! He's sooo cute and beautiful. You must be so proud of him. :j

I feel very productive - I've spent the evening scrubbing my floors :D I'm now knackered though and so off to snuggle up in bed with a new recipe book (my idea of heaven!). We have a busy day tomorrow but will hopefully pop in at some point.
