  • Evening all - job application completed. Just need to read through again tomorrow and make sure I've said everything I need to. My paragraph about experience of dealing with sensative situations needs some work, but my brain is a bit fried now!

Oh - we are now plotting own-business plans.... (Just for a change - it is like living with Del Boy!) If only anyone round here had the money to invest or was driven to make any of them work ;)

Hugs to you Em - If I find a winning lottery ticket I'll share it with you!

Yup. I had a couple of others on my watch list which didn't have high bids on but have deleted them now I won one. Search for "leopard print snowsuit" and they should come up :)

We should get Martin to sponsor it with matching T-shirts for us!

Hi MFD :wave:How's the tender coming?

You've just reminded me - I couldn't find the creche application form so rang up to ask them to send me another one. Asked about waiting list - seems we might not get a full-time place in time for June next year :(
Once they get form they will write to me and say what is available - I might get a couple of days until a full time place comes up so will wait and see what they come back with and then see about contacting a childminder.

Can't believe the waiting list is so long, I couldn't get the form until mid-August because it's the creche at the hospital where I will be working from June in my new job and I needed to wait for all the checks to go thru and get the offer letter before they would send it. And of course with Jack coming early I forgot and now can't find the form.

Sami/Fritha - I ordered the sling yesterday and had emailed the lady about postage etc. I told her I'd tried one at Sling meet and that a friend (i.e You :D) had just ordered one and pointed out the sale items.
She then emailed back to say 'The straps are made from 100% cotton so might be a bit stiffer than the Joey you tried at the Sling meet. It will take a bit of wearing in but its still comfy'

Just wondered what your straps are made of  I thought it was the same type of sling just reduced! Will have to get lots of use out of it to un-stiffen them!
