Emlou, if your that desperate to get out, could you leave him strapped in the car seat as suggested, with telly on, dummy, blankie, fave toy whatever and run like the wind. You'd be less than 3 mins if its a 5 min walk. Would be no worse than leaving them to cry at night. Then leave car seat in the car, so next time you can use just the buggy.

I'd go for it personally, can't see diff to petrol station and a long Q
thats what i thought! even if i just go for a drive, at least i'm out the house for a bit.

going to wander round the shops tomorrow anyway, OH has a job interview in southampton so i'm going to invite myself along in the car (my car!) and have a wander while he's there. got a bra and cardi to swap in primark, that'll probably take the duration of his interview anyway

  • At last just checked her she's asleep and snoring peacefully and looking beautiful. Now i feel guilty at getting cross with her. Ah well, i must go and list my jane double buggy on ebay, i really need to sell it, we've not used it since may and I did say if we get to august without it its gonna go!

Em - if you dont want to leave him in the house you could take him in the car seat with the rain cover on and drive back to your house to pick the buggy up.:p

I bought a hauck stroller from Asda reduced to £15 ( £13.50 with my staff discount) All the stuff from the baby event has gone half price (or more)

Oh, my inbox is filling up with invites out! Going out for tea with one of the girls from my dept tomorrow night, and for coffee with the girls from Accounts on Friday. Also txt another work friend about going out for tea one night next week.. Methinks OH has been dropping some "get her out the house" hints"
  • I was getting jealous of the toblerone fairies that had been arriving as I was catching up - suddenly knock at the door with parcel for OH!! Can't wait til he gets home from work now.

Reece manged it again last night, he slept from 8pm ish to 7 this morning!! Swear its to do with porridge oats, he had them for breakfast and as I hadn't organised some pureed fruit for a dessert i just gave him a bit of porridge with mashed banana and he scoffed the lot!

*twiddles thumbs*.. *taps foot*.. I shall continue waiting patiently for a Toblerone! :p Can't even remember if I entered - do remember seeing it though. Best thing is OH doesn't even like it so if he gets one it's all mine! :D

Claire, I noticed in Asda the other day baby cereals are 3 for £5. I think it's a long term offer. You were asking about the price of baby porridge a while ago... Morrisons had some vouchers for 50p off Cow and Gate cereals on the shelf next to them last week too :)

Sorry Elle but we got a Toblerone too!

(I'm sure we could spare a triangle - not sure how it would arrive after going through the fairy post though!)
