No idea about the baby brights... But Caitlyn is entranced by baby einstein... That's no real judge though... She loves adverts too...
A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...

Indeedy! He is by far the best wardrobed of the 3 of us :)

May I please ask another question?

Some people set up a statement of preferred guardianship of their children, should anything awful happen. May I ask if any of you have done this, who you picked and how formally you did it (ie is it written down or did you just ask them.... or sommat else?

We're pretty clear what we'd want, but just intrigued what others are doing/have done :)

In our wills we have a clause that covers guardianship of our child and any future children. Currently it states that in the case of death of one parent the other will become sole carer but in the event of both of us dying the children will go to live with my parents. All finance will be controlled by several people, including a person independant of the family. This can be used for cost of education, holidays, etc but any inheritance over and above that won't be acessible until they are 26.

We chose this as non of our 4 siblings are in the right position to take on any children at the moment for several reasons, including age, finance, geographical location etc. Therefore parents are a better choice. We have specified my parents as my mum sees much more of LO and they are in a better financial position and as my mum doesn't work it would be easier for her. Plus, I am not 100% in agreement with my IL's parenting style.

What scares me the most is me dying and OH having to rely heavily on his parents to help him raise LO. :o:( But you can't swell on these things

Had a great weekend - I have wonderful wallpaper in my living room
    now :D

Benjamin loves the little red man that comes on before central weather! And the Direct Line phone and mouse!! I have to make sure they don't come on if he is sleeping on the sofa!

My, I have been chatty tonight, laptop battery about to die and I need to write a list of questions for tomorrow so if I disappear, goodnight all!

My Maclaren cost me £200 and I'm still in love with it... Not using it much though because Caitlyn just seems too small to be forward facing... She's still comfortable in the big gay pram...

I'd be a pram addict given half a chance but I don't think hubby would let me...

I might just start buying her lots of shoes instead...

    hi all,

looks like i am the only one that gets bubs weighed weekly. i know i dont have to, but it is more a social thing for me now. i have made friends with a few of the mums and we all have girls a similar age. we met in the morning for baby group, then have lunch and then go to clinic for weigh in.

mfd - i have been saying wrong then the whole time you have had it :-) i see one around town and always think of you and benjamin.

feelie - hope you are feeling okay and that you manage to work things out with your other half.

elle - will be thinking of you all tomorrow hun

another bad night of sleep last night...every hour.... this getting bubs to settle themselves off to sleep means they will sleep better through the night is not currently proving itself to me and i have stuck at it all week. appreciate it may take longer, but heck, it's worse than when i nurse to sleep.

My best mummy friend has one too! I wasn't the one who said I hated them!!

Edit - keep going AF sweetie, if she is going off on her own then that is brilliant (I know it is what you wanted)

    Is she eating enough fats?

AF, if nursing to sleep works better then I'd just go with that...

We had an every 2 hours night last night... Could go either way tonight... She's just woken up after a 90min sleep in the swing....

How's the tender writing going Mfd?
