Indeedy! He is by far the best wardrobed of the 3 of us :)

May I please ask another question?

Some people set up a statement of preferred guardianship of their children, should anything awful happen. May I ask if any of you have done this, who you picked and how formally you did it (ie is it written down or did you just ask them.... or sommat else?

We're pretty clear what we'd want, but just intrigued what others are doing/have done :)
we haven't set up anything yet (we decided to wait until Ed arrived instead of having to update for him afterwards) but when we do it'll be my Sister.
She is very like me in morals/beliefs, is 2.5yrs older than me with a partner we like, good job/career etc and the boys adore her and her OH.
My parents aren't very well off and aren't in the best of health.
ILs are well off and still pretty young at heart, healthy etc but OH doesn't want our boys brought up how he was (and I REALLY don't!) BIL is 5yrs younger than us, only just started uni and very close to his mum (who is the main 'problem' in how OH was raised).
we don't have any other relatives/friends that are close.

That's the reasoning behind it but we didn't actually go through all that when deciding as we just 'knew' that was the way to go.
Sis know this and I think we've mentioned it to our 'rents :undecided :o

We picked my sister as one of Chris' sisters is a single mum and think that would be a bit much and the other lives in England and that is just a definate no no.
My parents and Chris parents are all retirement age, and I just think it would be too much for them. We had to do this really early as over here, Dads had no parental rights of they wernt married when Jas was born, so we made up the will, allowing him to have Jas if something happened to me, and then just added a bit stating all dependants will go to my sister if something happens both of us, so it doesnt have to be amended

What sort of things did you do, Sami? (ETA: and MFD ;))

I'm going to ask a few questions about flu jabs and then see if the nurses agree to us joining some groups.. Am getting very bored only going out when I've got to be somewhere because someone else says so, not because we've chosen to go iyswim.

We mainly do Booby Club cos I love the fact that it is just really a gossiping session and I have met some really lovely people there.
We have also done baby massage and baby bop (singing) but they were shorter courses and TBH, I don't work well within a structured group :o
But I do have 3 Booby Clubs!!

edit: sadly no surestart in wales yet MFD :(

Ah well - you can't have everything, you get free prescriptions (don't you?)

I know what you are saying. I understand and agree. I also feel that Benjamin needs more positive interraction from me these days too (not to mention constantly pulling away from the fireplace / TV / magazine rack / door / nappy bags / whatever he shouldn't be bl00dy touching)

He is a beaut though :D
MFD - can you store much in the bag? Is it okay for a big baby? Does it feel safe?

I remember someone on here (not this thread or the preg thread) saying that they had seen one toppled over once - I say what absolute b0ll0x ('scuse my french!!) I couldn't topple it if I tried (and believe me I have tried LOL). It is very safe...but your child is high so they must be strapped in all the time, it's a long way to fall.
People tell me all the time that there is not enough storage for shopping etc. the bag is a reasonable size but not massive but at least I look stylish ;) Who wants to be laden down with shopping when you are out and about anyway!

I will use it for as long as Benjamin needs a buggy - it takes bigger kids too.

    HTH xx
