why does baby breath smell sooooooooooooooooooooooo good?

I dunno!! The first time I left Benjamin overnight I really missed his milky breath!! I used to love it when he cried - I used to stick my nose in his mouth :rotfl:
Maybe that's why he is not a cryer :D

Hubby dropped me off at Morrisons today and came back for me an hour later!! It was packed and I had to rush around so I am bound to have missed stuff! And I spent 5 minutes explaining to a bemused looking couple with an 11 week old the difference between all the nappies!!

weezl, i think i might have missed something you've said, why do babies need a high fat content? is it to try and get lots of calories into them so in theory they will sleep?

sounds like it would be high enough fat content with the cheese. Do you put butter/marg in?

    xxx

nope, neither. I'm not keen on the taste of butter/marge, plus the point of cornflour is that it is easy.

 I have constant rage at our tiny tiny fridge and its freezer compartment; basically impossible to have more than 4 or 5 days' worth of food in there, can never freeze left-overs, etc. I consider where to put a big fridge-freezer, daily!
Funnily enough Glam, one of the few MSE things I do is make my own yorkshire pudding, and my own spicy potato wedges or diced etc. Otherwise I am very sinful shopper and our monthly is easily £350+ (with no cigarettes).

I am still keeping up with the thread but been hectically busy this week and under a lot of pressure and just rarely got round to posting! But I am here!

Hi Bruno - wondered where u had been! We have a under the counter fridge AND freezer and a chest freezer in the garage. Having been in the same situation as you the first thing I did when we bought the house was get a chest freezer - I couldn't live with it! Everything goes in there and then once a week I take out the meals for the week and keep them in the kitchen freezer with the veg and at least one tub of ice-cream.

Yes you could reduce it but you have got a one month old baby so I think that gives you a good enough excuse.

Thanks! That's my excuse for now but I will try and be a bit more MSE when Jack gets into a routine.

Emlou - my OH is the same. Has to have meat in every meal and moans if I suggest a meal with no veg. Hence why all my meals are very meaty - I make lots of chilli and bolg cos mince is cheaper than chicken. We tend to eat 1 chicken breast each but BIL has to have 2 which I am dreading if he does get the job up here and stay with us!

    AM - YAY for period

Tia - noticed ur new avvy on the best kept secrets thread! Love it.

Will upload my fave of Jack which we used on his Thank You cards - it is so cute!

MFD - Yep, it's the milky smell! I always have my nose in his gob - bless him, I get lovely breath he gets my morning breath!
A very busy Yummy Mummy to a 1 year old gorgeous boy :smileyhea

Adults generally need high fibre foods with less fat. The fibre fills us up and helps bowels, whilst the low fat stops us gaining weight.

Babies need to gain weight, so baby foods aim to be low in fibre and higher in fat, so the baby won't feel full before they've had all the energy they need :) HTH.

Not sure that it has any link to sleep though emlou, or we'd all be disguising lard in palatable ways for our babies :rotfl:
