Hope you're feeling better this morning Button! xx
:hello: DK.. I've no idea, but am sure the others will be along to help soon :)

Not a happy bunny here.. *yawn* After a really good weekend of sleeping for long periods, Rhys obviously wasn't keen on the idea of sleep last night  Of course now he's asleep in his bouncer and probably will be for hours but that won't help OH who's got to work on little sleep and a two day old hangover :p

Off to make tea and toast.. :o

Morning everyone, I've got a very unhappy little boy here this morning. He woke up crying his eyes out around 3/4am, first we thought it was his cold/blocked up nose again so tried to cuddle him upright to help with his breathing. But that didn't stop him crying, so i think it's got to be his teeth. He's calmed down a bit now (i gave him some teething powders, and ibruprofen earlier on). The usual teething gel didn't work like it usually does. Any suggestions? Teething toys etc aren't any good right now, as he refuses to chew them when he's in such a state. I'm guessing we've got the molars coming through now. Poor thing.

I've got a doctors appointment later about his cough/wheezing, but doubt she can suggest anything for teething! Hubby has got his follow up appointment too.

    Keely.

ps-on a positive note though, Elliot has been practicing his walking a lot of the past few days, looking very pleased with himself now he seems to know what he's doing :)

Got car problems here. Coming home on Friday it started making a loud vibration noise. Managed to get home though.

Had to pop out local on Saturday and it was still making the noise and the gear box went really stiff and it was hard to change gear.

Got in it yesterday to show husband and we couldn't get it in any gear apart from 3rd. Called the RAC out at home and he said the engine has misfired, causing the engine mount to collapse which has made the gearbox collapse.

I'm going to try and get the RAC to take it to a local garage this afternoon and they will have a look at it. RAC man has warned it will be expensive to fix, and given the age of the car (03 plate) it may not be worth fixed.

It also needs approx £600+ bodywork done on it as someone crashed into my passenger door in a car park a few months back and drove off without leaving details and I hadn't got round to getting that fixed.

I only bought it in Feb 07 for £5800. Hellish depreciation if it's not going to be worthwhile fixing it :(
Here I go again on my own....

    An apology was given!

I feel better about it now, although I was restrained in that obviously-holding-back-a-torrent-of-rage kind of way. I think he got the message, but that it took him a while to realise that while it might be less unacceptable to do that in a guy friend's house, this is a family home with a husband and a wife and a baby and a cat, and while it's ok if the baby or the sick cat throws up on the floor, adult vomit is not acceptable.

Hugs to everyone and gentle pats to sore bottoms.

  • Keely, a few people recommend ambesol for teething... I never tried it with Aimee but think I'll get some in for Caitlyn if it's that good...

Becles, hope the garage have some better news for you than the RAC man!

Sugar, glad he apologised in the end! I don't know about you but I wouldn't be extending an invitation to stay again any time soon!

BM, hope you're feeling a bit better this morning...

I'm still feeling pretty rank... I can feel a cough trying to start too... Little Miss Caitlyn woke me up at 4am singing to herself in her cot... Incredibly sweet and everything... But a quick feed put her back to sleep thankfully... Hubby managed to wake her at 6 when he got up for work too... I did ask him if we could swap sides of the bed, she is right by the door at the minute and he seems to wake her shuffling past her every other morning... He thinks having her the other side next to all the clothes would be more of a problem though... I recon he just doesn't want to sleep on my side of the bed...

Anyway... Think I'm going to skip booby group this morning and climb back into bed... Got the in laws coming tomorrow so need to find time to make the place visitor tidy too....
A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...
Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.

oh dear DK, I don't think Chris ever had a sore botty etc when weaning, maybe something she had was a bit too much for her yet??

Becles - eep! fingers crossed for car being fixable and cheap or at least getting a decent price selling for spares?

I'm just putting loads of new pics on FB so no doubt I'll be appearing in ur new feeds :)

Ouch! What car is it, Becles? (I am just nosy, I won't have any useful advice to give). That's brutal though, sorry to hear, hope it's not really a write-off!

Aww Krystal, get back into bed and get well soon! Hate that grungy feeling that won't go away.
Elijah did much the same thing, I guess he was unsettled after an unusual day for him yesterday, he woke at 2am, 4am and 5.30, each time just to single, burble or grinch to himself for a few minutes then go back to sleep again  he was very cheery when I got up with him at 6.45 though.

BM, sounds truly miserable, hope you feel a bit better when you get up today! Fingers crossed.

Quick question for those who take childcare vouchers, I take them for Henry but do you get 2 lots if you have 2 kids or just the one £243?

Turn that smile upside-down Elle, it's bad news! :(

Maz I meant to ask, is there a real cab in your life? :)
