  • Ok then I guess now the question is:

Does anyone know any pre-configured Shares ISA's that I can get from a bank that is any good?

I wonder if we understand your question rightly ....

Are you asking if there's a Shares ISA you can pay into, which will go and buy the shares for you? If so, then no. You put cash into the Shares ISA and then have to use that cash to buy shares - you have to choose the shares which are bought.

You could use a simple "funds" ISA, which invests in unit trusts and other investment funds. But you then have to choose the funds to invest in.

Either way, you will need to do some research, whether you buy shares or funds.

Why do you want to buy from a bank? Its typically the most expensive distribution channel and the products and funds are typically poor quality. Plus most bank advisers cannot recommend funds. They ascertain your risk and plonk the funds that match that risk in front of you to pick yourself. If you are going to have to pick your own funds then you may as well DIY and get it cheaper and from a whole of market range.
