You obviously haven't been recently then?
Just come back from Minehead and if you've got younger kids then it's great. Lot's to do, pretty much everything's free (except drinks) if you go half-board.
The place was spotless and well maintained, there were 4 places to go in the evening, catering for all ages groups and tastes. Burger King, Pizza Hut & 3 pubs all within 50 yds of each other.
4 days for just over £100 - can't be bad!
Agreed, I had four days at the Shoreline in Bognor last week, was originally going two days but my three year old son was having such a great time we extended - was our first time and my wife were really impressed and looking at another four days next year.TESCO EVERY LITTLE change to the t&cs HELPS0 -

THIS EXPIRES 19th OCTOBER 2009
Hi you can look at ukcaravans4hire.com,an owners site, at butlins and a host of haven, park resorts ,etc etc. much cheaper than going through them0 -
Im not talking rubbish,im stating facts,i booked through the half price offer last year to go to skeggy this october half term in silver apartment with half board and total cost is £339.50 for 3 of us,i got booklet today stating half price for all 2010 holidays so i got price for identical holiday for 2010 and price is £590.45 for 3 of us(INCREASE OF £251.00),i even telephoned butlins customer services who gave me a name of someone to write to regarding this massive increase.
to be fair, i just got a quote for a 7 nights break in bognor starting 26 oct 09 in a standard room, and the quote came back at £650:eek:, so thought i would check for next year and for 7 days from 25 oct 10 i can get a silver accomodation for £430, so there does seem to be quite a bit of saving, compared to this years prices, mind you i not complaing as we are going to bognor in a silver accomodation for 7 nights from 26 oct 09 for less than £300:D:TTake every day as it comes!!0 -
I booked back in Ocober 09 for July 2010 , went on line yesterday and the same holiday was £30 cheaper . Phoned Butlins and they reduced the price of my booking0

Yes they are still going strong.
Very popular with chavs and single parent families I believe.
.
Sorry i had to say something after this post. I am certainly not a 'Chav' or a single parent family...my DH and DD's are not 'chavs' either. We are a nice family who enjoy Butlins. We enjoy a self catering holiday there. It is great value for money and we have a wonderful time. We have looked into Haven, Pontins, Center Parcs etc on various occaisions but found that Butlins was the right price for us.
Please don't slate it unless you can tell us about your holiday there and the exact things you didn't like.
Thank you0
