  • doesn't seem to be half price for half board holidays (only self catering)
  • Blimey are Butlitz still going?

I'd rather spend a week sticking red-hot pins in my eyes.

    :rotfl:
  • I much prefer butlins than pontins, it is great for most families but I suppose each to their own. We would be boring if we all liked the same things.
  • I would say be careful! It looks like they've really "hiked up" prices for 2010 reading stega's post on the Uk Holidays Board.
  • but on my letter they are garunteeing that you wont find the holiday cheaper nearer the time or they give you back the diffrence

If you checked stega's comparisons you would see that they are talking nonsense.

zakiya12, is the price guarantee on the website, and does it include future discounted rates? If so, it would be worth booking and periodically checking the prices.
    Gone ... or have I?
  • its only 'up to 50%' only 20% at times i would need to look for, shame, got my hopes up there! lol nevermind

This is the point that is being missed on the other thread, next years rates (for the dates noted) are only discounted by approx 20%.

Butlins pricing structure works differently to that of most other holiday companies, in that the later you leave it, the cheaper it tends to get. Obviously there are exceptions to this, and availability can be very tight at school holidays times, but it is the general rule. Having said that, if they are offering a price guarantee, there is nothing to lose by booking now.

(I used to work in reservations at Butlins.)

  • I booked last year for may half term and got it for £360 for the week it is £438 for next year. most people paid about the same or more than me, I didnt find anyone pay cheaper.
I would pay less if I could but it is such a good holiday and for a school holiday I think it is worth every penny. so need to do some serious savings now.
  • Also make sure you have the right website to get the 50% off
