Can you help me with Passport photo please

Options
I need to obtain a passport photograph for my daughter, I live In Nafferton East Yorkshire, we have no main post office to speak of, and I am struggling to find where I can obtain a passport photo from. Woolworths in Driffield had a photo booth, but obviously no longer.

Does anyone know how can I search the internet for a photo booth, and to make it more difficult I do not drive, so Hull/York is not ideal, it would cost me a small fortune in bus fares.

I would appreciate any help.

I assume you don't have a camera to be able to take the photo and print it out yourself?

Or ask a friend to do this?

I assumed this wasn't an accepted method. Can I take a photo, and use that, now if thats possible, thats money saving. I have a camera and photo quality paper.

Edit: You obviously can tell we as a family don't do foreign holidays, if I had to ask a daft question like this. My daughter has been given the chance to go to France In December, she asked me if she would need a bikini:rotfl:Bless her, she thought as it was aboard it would be hot!

You can take it yourself - read the instructions very carefully and allow plenty of time in case they need to send it back.

Otherwise, phone around some local chemists, supermarkets and photographers. That's where you would usually find the facilty and/or a machine.

You should be able to, as long as the pictures meets the government guidelines: http://www.direct.gov.uk/en/TravelAndTransport/Passports/Applicationinformation/DG_174152

Alternatively, where's your nearest Max Spielman? They'll take six digital pictures of your daughter on a grey background for £6.

I live in a rural village, no main town for 20 miles except for Driffield and I have phoned this morning everywhere I could think of where there could be a photo booth...no luck. I have tried googling, but I don't know the name of the company who do photo booths to see if I can find a location.

The photo is be given to school as they are getting a group passport and I wouldn't want to be the only mother who photo is not accepted by the Passport office, the shame of it.

Glad to hear that you're sorted - I used yell.com (yellow pages) by the way.
