in Credit cards
hi, the other day i set up an account with next directory as im planning to buy some stuff from the sale.
but i have just checked my account and it says i have got a credit of 250 quid.
i thought i was just opening a cash account!
im pretty sure i wouldnt have passed any credit check (not to mention i never agreed to one/unless it was hidden
)
do next have the right to do this, and the fact i havent signed anything?

Yes they do.
In future I suggest you take the time to read the terms and conditions

They have probably searched your Equifax credit file.
Anyway, just email customer service and ask for your account to be closed or just to reduce credit limit to 0. Then you will be able to buy and pay with a credit or debit card.0
