Matty, it seems that I am in a small minority of people who are happy with mobile BB. I use it mainly in the mornings, and I do not download films and music or play games. I also avoided taking out a contract by getting a prepaid dongle. It is advisable to get one of these just to see how well it works for you before committing yourself.
I believe that you only have a few days to try it out and return it if not satisfied. Other people on MSE have had a similar experience, and I hope that some of them will be able to give good advice.Who having known the diamond will concern himself with glass?

Hi, as posted in other threads on this forum i work for a mobile phone company, and actualy work on the tech support for these dongles. The speed you get does depend on your signal level, whether you are picking up a 2g or 3g network, internet security etc etc. In ideal circumstances the speeds are good usually, but there are so many reasons for it being slow tbh depends on your computer also etc. You usually have 7 days (depending on where you bought it from and the contract you signed etc)10k in 2010 - £350.77 :beer:0

 :DIm having same problems with t-mobile, you didnt say which isp youre with. Ive e-mailed watchdog, because the more they know about the problems the quicker this might get sorted. I have read about lots of people having troubles, just google t-mobile problems to see for yourself, lots of people are unhappy with the service they receive and the speeds of the service when they manage to get connnected.
Most people as well as myself have noted that for the first month or so service was o.k. - however after this point {when your locked into a contract} sevice got so bad it was unusable. In my case, when I contacted T-mobile about slow speeds and constant disconnections they switched me onto a different 'signal' which I was told would be slower but would stop the disconnection issues - it did but after waiting 40 minutes for a web page to open I gave up, and later found out that the other 'signal' they had put me on was infact the network mobile phones use to access the internet hence the crappy speeds.
I'm currently looking for a way out of my T-mobile contract which still has 10 months @ £15 per month for a service I cannot access and they seem unable to provide.... I searched the internet, but as yet have found no other alternatives to the problem than to simply pay the money until the contract expires and never touch T-mobile again. You would think that there would be a way to get free of the contract as I have never had the service I have paid for.... surely it's wrong for them to sell it as fast broadband when it isn't.... Maybe a regulator like Offcom might help?
Do yourself a favour and go get CABLE broadband!:rotfl::D0
