:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: I remember when the health visitor was worried about my Piglet (now 26 and a teacher), who was virtually born speaking (or rather shouting) - when thought she was 'quiet' and was concerned about her (lack of) speech.
Piglet was terrified of her and would run away screaming when she approached her at clinic with a book. All the other mums would laugh because they knew that Piglet never usually stopped talking / shouting (no volume control).0 -
Today I have done -
1) Took packed lunch to work
2) Daily clicks & scratchies
3) Jointed a chicken and planned my meals for the next few nights (normally buy pre-packed breasts when i'm cooking for one but recently learnt how many meals a whole chicken can make
4) Needed some winter work clothes so got 2 jumpers and a jacket from a charity shop for a tenner
im slowly realising that there is actually some really nice stuff in these shops

Well, just got in from work and cooked tea, taken dogs out, phew! So not much else is getting done now (again)
Katie - sorry to hear about the break in. Hope the insurance pays out ok.
Fay - good luck with storecupboard challenge. I am doing the same. Think of the money you will save, and the extra you can throw at Evil Edna :j
Savingfora rainy day - it is not you who is the problem with the wireless network - it is definitely the instructions. Trust me, I have a PhD in such teccie related stuff - but won't bore you with the details!
Linz - impressed with your chicken jointing skills - when I try it it looks like a traffic accident. I tend to cook it whole and use from there.0 -
Yes well i'm still a bit slow, but practise will hopefully make perfect
I like to freeze the breasts and start by making a stew with the other bits and stock from the bones. Am turning into my mum  but its all good #39 - Save £12k in 20250 -

- colleague gave me some more freebie fag papers
- worked on some 'work' this evening
- hoovered downstairs and did a huge mound of dishes when came in from work

- [STRIKE] Phone the police again and get a crime number
- Phone home insurance to see if I am covered
- Breakfast and lunch from stores
- Prawn curry for tea made from freezer/cupboard ingredients
- NSD[/STRIKE]
- No heating on
- Washing on when I get home - hopefully it will be a nice enough day tomorrow to hang it out.
Spoke to home insurance people and they told me that apparently bikes are not covered by contents insurance - you have to have personal belongings insurance as well. I've never even heard of that. I'm absolutely gutted, couldn't face going back there today.
On a more positive note, I've just finished a job application for a job my dad spotted in the paper. Could be a really big opportunity so fingers crossed!
Hope everyone has had a good day xxLBM 17th August 2009 Debt at LBM £18,612 Proud to be dealing with my debts.0 -
Afternoon all, what a lovely afternoon it is here :j
I have done today:
checked online banking
posted test letters
went to Tescos to get a bit of shopping, boyfriend paid the £19
had lunch at home using 40p baquettes and eggs that need using.
Boyfriend making dinner at home tonight
Still have to do:
put washing in and hang to dry rather than use tumble dryer DONE
wait for valuation DONE
go to dance class with money found in car DONE
And I even managed to get some dusting done and prepare my lunch for work tomorrow. :jNo you're not a vegetarian if you eat any animal or fish, so do not insult genuine veggies by calling yourself one!
Thanks to everyone who posts competitions. You are the stars of the board :T:j:T0 -
Fay - have you posted your PPI letter????????
:D:D:D:D:D:D:D
I did quickly - 2nd class stamp and now am worried they will take away my CC - feel like I have been really naughty asking for them back.
Thank you for caring enough to ask, normally letters sit in my bag for 200 years. But like you I hoped someone would remind me to get it in the post box!!
