The Auris, is to be polite, a less than popular car, so 2 weeks for an already built example to be trucked down from Toyota's UK holding dept, PDI'ed etc is about right.
why isn't it popular?0 -
ok
why isn't it popular?
There are some people that think Toyota means boring. We have customers that are very happy with their Auris. I think that they look ok in red or black... there have been others that test drove them and said that they were awful - this came mainly from those that had Corolla's and said that the Auris was awful in comparison... I can't judge as I have not owned or driven either of them
I can tell you that the Auris is easy to maintain and service..
Edit: Plus... you can't get a 'proper' automatic in the Auris like you could with a Corolla - that is a major gripe with some.Genie

For all intents and purposes, the Auris is the new Corolla, which was the biggest selling car of all time with a well deserved track record of reliability.
For some reason, known only to Toyota, they dropped the Corolla name ( huge mistake ) ... called it's replacement a stupid name like Auris and it has lost it's long earned reputation.
It is still a Toyota, so still one of the best cars made, I would have no hesitation in buying one.0 -
The docks quite close to me take delivery of some of the new cars - some of them are sitting there for MONTHS before selling!
If you get a car with a 2 week delivery that has been sitting around for potentially a long time. Personally i would never buy a new car that isn't actually new!
I'm waiting on a vw but i don't mind the long wait.0 -
Nothing atm thats why I would like it asap
are you saying they make lots of them or they won't sell out because something isn't good about them?
Don't get me wrong, they are a very good car, as are almost all Toyotas, however, there couldn't be a plainer more boring car on the road.0 -

The same could be said of the Corolla, it was still the biggest selling car of all.
Some folk ain't to bothered about perception as long as their car/s don't give them any problems.
I fall in to that camp.;)0 -

VW are no more or less reliable than most cars, its just that VW have harked on about reliability for so long people have very high expectations
yup good and bad examples, mine has been truly horrific!0 -

For the prices that they get away with, they should be more reliable.
Skoda's seem to be more reliable than VW's these days.
Same camp, less cost.0 -
My IQ3 had a delivery time of 3 weeks and was worried about that being optimistic, but had phone call the other day that it was delivered early. Picking it up tomorrow!0

Has to be the only car on the road where the driver sits closer to the rear window than the front one, strange car.
Not cheap either.. :eek:0
