people say just a small dab of superglue on the end on the broken bit ,. although I could not get it to work, I used -when it happened to me I was able to gradually prise it out with 2 thin nails , enough to get pliers on itAny posts on here are for information and discussion purposes only and shouldn't be seen as (financial) advice.0

Hi traveller,
You should get more help with this on the In My Home board, so I'll move your thread over there. In the meantime, have a look at this thread.

Hi, thanks for the help guys,i'm in such a state as yesterday she pulled down the curtain frame for our bay windows-dont ask and now this.No Dr.lou my insurance won't cover it,i'm gonna try the nail approach as it's a communal door ,so the other guy that shares that door is stuck too, till i sort it out.

Take the lock off the door undo the 3 screws on the inside of the door. then undo the 2 inner screws, pull the key bit out from the front of the door
Then tap it out upside down onto a table, if it doesn't fall out you can poke it out from the other end using a thin piece of wire, or a tiny jewellers screwdriver.
reassemble in reverse order.0
