Anyone know how much (roughly), a new lock would cost for a double-glazed front door, as I've got a key stuck in it!

Or, how much it'd cost for the locksmith to get the key out of the lock.0

Not as bad as I thought then... Just hoping it's no more than £30!0

The door lock is dodgy anyway (dodgy builders), and after trying to lock the door for no less than 30 minutes, it broke off.0

Anyone know how secure these locks are.as there was an article in one of the papers about how easy it is for thieves to open some locks on upvc doorsVal

Apparently they are not very secure but there are not any alternatives that I can think of for euro locks.
There are two ways to exploit the vunerablilty of these locks, personally I wouldn't worry about it. If someone wants to get in they will.
You could of course get one of the Very high security steel doors but they cost big money.0 -
There are euro locks, and euro locks. They range in price from £4 to £70 and as you can imagine some are easy to open and some are not but at the end of the day if someone gets as far as trying to smash or pick your lock then they are probably going to get in one way or another and which would you prefer ... smash lock and get in or smash the whole door frame and get in ?0
