I couldnt believe the price of Mangners at Sainsbury's much prefer Blackthorn which it seems to be getting more difficult to buy at Supermarkets and Pubs.

Bulmers in the UK is not the same Bulmers in Ireland.

Quite why it's rebadged as Magners here I have no idea. The stuff sold over here is made in the UK and although it's ok, the real deal stuff has a different taste and one I prefer. Bulmers over here is horrid stuff, ASDA are flogging it off cheap and I can see why.

It's like the Guinness, it always tastes better over in Ireland as it doesn't travel well.

And seeing as I spend the best part of every month in Dublin and sometimes other parts of Ireland, I get to wrap my kisser around several delicious pints of both Bulmers and Guinness! :D

Forget both of those though, there's one bad boy that really needs to be brought to the UK and that is Club.

Club Orange, Club Rock Shandy, Club Apple and Club Lemon are without doubt, the ultimate soft drink. The new Club, Pomegranet (sic) and White Cranberry is a bit too sweet for my taste though.

Club is the bees knees and I take an extra suitcase with me every visit so I can stock up on Club, Johnny Onion Rings, Hunky Dorys, Hot Lips, Mega Meanies and Chickadees.

    OH HELL YEAH!!! :D

Bulmers, Magners, Ritz, Stag these brands of ciders all 'owned' by one group.

Interesting to see from the Bulmers website -

Bulmers = strongbow, scrumpy jack & woodpecker

HWTHMBO drinks Scrumpy Jack, in the absence of REAL scrumpy.

try Bookers cash and carry. A friend says he buys a crate each week and they work out at around £1.50 a bottle.

Here it's about £3 for a pint of Guinness. Magners is £2.80. :(
