iphone accessories at Apple Retail Store

I bought my iphone 3GS online last night and I'm now considering accessories. I went for the Power Support Crystal Clear protector but decided I'd want to see cases 'in the flesh'.
So after a late afternoon appointment I'm heading down to an Apple Store this evening. What should I be looking at case wise or anything else?

I picked up a screen protector (about £10 but v.good) and I picked up a silicon case from a small mobile phone shop, think that was £5 - fitted perfectly!0

Well I had a look and was mildly underwhelmed by what they had @ Apple casewise. Pricey too. . .superjaggybunnet wrote: »
I've used silicone cases for my last two SonyEricssons, I quite like them and they don't scuff up your phone when you take them on and off. My only concern is whether they are sufficient protection for the iphone. Of course not all of them are created equal either. I don't know about the above one as it says 'rubber gel'.
I've got a CW, an O2 store and a couple of cheapo phone unlocking shops locally so I might have a browsette.0 -
I've got one of these and it's fab. Tough, looks good, comes in a huge selection of colours and contains two stick-on screen protectors. I got mine from Play.com for £14.99. I know you can get cheaper, but given the replacement cost of the iPhone, I'm not taking any chances!0

Hi
I highly recommend getting a rebel serpent case. It's a hybrid tough plastic/rubber case which really does protect your iPhone withoutbeing too bulky. Just search on Amazon/play.com for "iPhone rebel serpent". I have one of these cases + power support crystal clear screen protectors which Imho offer the perfect protection

After a bit of research I'm veering towards a Switcheasy Colours case. Dunno if any retail stores stock them.0

I have got a black incipio feather case.

Got it from ebay for about £12 delivered.
Comes with a screen protector also.
I love it. as it is really thin. It might not protect it if i fell a long way, but it certain has saved my phone from key scratches etc....
Also as it is tight fitting dust etc.. does not get between the case and the phone .0 -

I did read they have a tendency to split. Do they cover the chrome fully?0 -

I have had mine over 3 month. And it is fine. Have taken it off serveral times. Mainly to show people. And had no problems with it spliting. It is one of the case of choice over on AVforums.
But saying that my wife does not like my case. She did have a griffin wave for her iPhone but she retuned it as the pink frosting was rubbing of the phone. She now has a £45 Sena Italian leather case, which she loves. It does look really nice, fine for my wifes handbag but way to bulky for my pocket. http://store.apple.com/uk/product/TV763LL/A?mco=OTQ3MTE0OA
Any how back to the feather case , the chrome is still exposed at the bottom of the phone by the speaker, mic etc.. But the phone shows no sign of damage on mine.
There are many case out there and it is very hard to decide but i am happy with my case.0 -
