wrong info from Sky rep online - rip off

I was browsing online and decided to get Sky for my parents who cannot afford to pay for it as it is so expensive!

So I selected the packages I wanted and noted the high cost! I thought about multiroom so mum and dad could watch what they wanted in peace.

The connection fee was quoted as free.

I started to chat online to a rep and he told me that it would cost me £30 for a Sky connection fee.

I told the online rep that it's stated online as free connection! So I asked him where that connection charge had come from?

He simply asked me if I wanted to buy today, as if it's only an offer today! Thats not right! There is not anything online that suggesting that the connection fee is a limited offer only for today!

So, beware, Sky reps giving wrong info and trying to get more money from you!

I don't see where it says free connection - where are you looking?

Standard set-up: Standard set-up for Sky+HD box is £30 for new Sky TV customers (£15 if you take a new Multiroom subscription) or £60 for existing Sky TV customers (£30 if you take a new Multiroom subscription). Standard set-up for Sky+ box is £30 for new customers (£15 if you take Multiroom) or £60 for existing Sky TV customers. Standard set-up for a standard Sky box is £60 for new and existing customers. Standard set-up £117.45 without Sky TV. Non-standard set-up may cost extra. Sky Broadband set-up fees for existing Sky TV customers £60 for Base, £30 for Everyday & Connect or free for Unlimited.

I assume you and your parents live in the same house to be consdiering multiroom?
