Cold Calling problems

Hi guys,
Today, I've had 5 calls in the last 4 hours, starting at 8 o clock from random numbers asking for a "Mr White" (not me). Now, I'm registered on TPS so this is frustrating.
I got my mother a quote on go compare a few months ago, and those links seems to suggest that is the problem. Anyway to stop them?
Or anyone had similar problems?0 -
just pick up your phone answer and then say Oh i will just get him/her and leave the phone off the hook for 10 mins.:rotfl:0

We have been harrassed by Talk Talk refusing to take no for an answer and they still keep calling us. We now either put the phone down as soon as they say who they are or just ignore them. We also are registered to TPS. We went on the TPS website and reported Talk Talk calling us regardless of the fact we have never contacted them and we got a nice reply saying TPS would write to Talk Talk asking them to explain themselves and to stop calling us. They also may refer it on for enforcement action. It was only a few days ago we reported them so will see what happens.
I have this. The phones in my partners name not mine but because im on maternity leave its normally me who picks up. Conversation normally goes as follows:
Me: Hello
TT: Can we speak with Mr Gibson
Me: Theres no one by that name here, whos calling
TT: Well are you the account holder?
Me: No im not, now Ive asked whose calling
TT: Well why are you answering the phone
Me: Thats none of your business, whose calling
TT: You are rude and unhelpful, tell Mr Gibson we will call back
Only found out it was talk talk after a rather heated conversation with one woman who i took great delight in telling she had a rather nastyattitude problem and she needed retrained on her customer service skills. She blurted out "well complain to TT head office"
Well I tried that, TT seem to think being rude and obnoxious is great customer service.0
