Variable or Fixed

I was looking here at the Chesham one - longer first year Bonus of nearly 13 months on Moneyfacts ISA transfers info.
Is that not the best site to use?

It's best to use all of the comparison sites and then to recheck with individual providers - if you can tie your savings up (remember that you have to give 4 months notice with the Chesham).
Most Fixed rate ISAs do not have bonuses they are 'fixed rate' - 3,600 at 3.2% for 12 months would give 115.20 in interest; 13 months at 3% would give you 117.14 in interest.0 -
Thanks.
I guess my original question was more on who is going variable rather than fixed (or vice versa). I certainly think there will be rate changes within the next 12 months. But then again, who thought we'd be at 0.5%!0 -
If you end up changing every 2 months you lose out because transfers take 2 weeks-2 years. If you fix for just a year, or upto March, then its not tieing you up for an extremely long time and rates will have changed by then (if you think they will)0
