It was actually more than expected ,the card has'nt been used in ages and any balance that was ever on it was usually balance transfere deals....I only sent the first letter off about 3 weeks ago so it has been dealt with really quickly.....only halifax and tesco to go!!

shooby1...the asked him why he was claiming back the ppi,hubby just told them that he has never taken out ppi on any credit product as it is no good to him and it's far too expensive.

they have made no attempts to contact us yet and we are 6 weeks into claim so could be bad news for us.0 -

Good news, well done. They have not tried to call my OH again since monday and today is the day that they have said we wil have a reply to his claim. should we wait or send further letter. Dont know what to do for best. They have aknowledged our letter and requested till 28th August to look in to and then wrote on the 24th August and requested up to 24th September which was yesterday. Should i send next letter?

Give it the weekend and if nothing have arrived through the post by Monday, I would go to the Financial ombudsman service (FOS), you can if you want to give them a quick ring to find out what is happening as well.

Yipeeee, good news got home today and letter waiting they have as a measure of good will given him a refund of £1475.05. This is a final offer. Still a bit confused though as i didn't ask for a SAR i dont know if amount is correct. But to be fair i am more than happy.
