Hi , I currently have an Iphone and find it annoying that there are certain things I can't do like some surveys or inane games on Facebook because I need flash player !
Does anyone know if there are any phones that you can install flash player on? My contract ends in Jan and I was considering the Palm Pre as possible replacement.
Thanks for any help :-)

Thankyou all-do you know if the Palm pre will be flash enabled?0

The Palm Pre will be out by the end of the year here (October maybe) and at the launch they said they were working with Adobe to have Flash on it (I think by the end of this year), so if all those are true, then it'll have Flash by the time you want one. I can't wait for it to come out!0

Allowing Flash — which is a development platform of its own — would just be too dangerous for Apple, a company that enjoys exerting total dominance over its hardware and the software that runs on it. Flash has evolved from being a mere animation player into a multimedia platform capable of running applications of its own. That means Flash would open a new door for application developers to get their software onto the iPhone: Just code them in Flash and put them on a web page. In so doing, Flash would divert business from the App Store, as well as enable publishers to distribute music, videos and movies that could compete with the iTunes Store.
This is one among many reasons why I hate iPhones (or any Apple product). :mad:Happiness is buying an item and then not checking its price after a month to discover it was reduced further.0 -
Thanks you two :-) Fingers crossed it does have flash then coz I think it will be the Palm Pre I go for ( price depending of course )
I agree with you about the Apple monopoly, in fact the worst thing about my Iphone ( apart from the camera) is the fact you have to link it to Itunes which has never worked properly on my stupid computer.0 -
Palm Pre has been announced as launching on October 16th in UK.

And you should have Flash by January.0 -
So Flash for the Pre is already being tested and will launch as beta in October. There's a video of a Pre running a flash game, website and YouTube video all at the same time and it looks amazing. iPhone users, look away!

Alternatively, the HTC Hero might be worth a look. Flash is built-into the browser. Available on Orange or T-Mobile (where it's called the G2 Touch)."Who throws a shoe, honestly?"
