Afternoon everybody!
Fay - I read somewhere on the OS thread that asda are selling them for £7 at the moment. They really are a brilliant thing to have, I put all the ingredients in in the morning and then put it on a timer switch to come on about lunchtime so the house is full of the smell of dinner when I get home - yummy!
My list for today is:- [STRIKE] Check online banking[/STRIKE]
- NSD
- [STRIKE]Breakfast and lunch from storecupboards[/STRIKE]
- [STRIKE]Salmon fillet out of freezer for dinner[/STRIKE] - going to s-t-r-e-t-c-h this into 2 meals each for me and OH!

- Go round to flat straight after work and find out how to turn off the water supply, pull up the flooring and take the mirror etc. off the wall.
- No heating tonight either - me and OH are going to be too busy doing the bathroom

- Make base for curry sauce for tomorrow night's dinner so it can go in the slow cooker during the day tomorrow.
Painted Lady - vinegar as fabric softner??? Do the clothes not come out smelling like a chip shop?LBM 17th August 2009 Debt at LBM £18,612 Proud to be dealing with my debts.0 -
Katy83 - I saw it on the OS thread and gave it a go, it softens the fabrics, enhances the smell of the powder and no, nothing smells of vinegar when it is dry, I challenge you to try it! It also keeps the washing machine clean, cleans the pipes etc and leaves the draw clean, I will be doing this all the time now. My DS is potty training and the clothes smell lovely - unlike when they go in the wash! I used white vinegar but apprarently malt stuff works the same.0

Hmm, sounds intriguing! How much do you use? Do you just put it in the drawer the same as normal fabric softener?LBM 17th August 2009 Debt at LBM £18,612 Proud to be dealing with my debts.0 -

As Painted Lady said it works a treat! I tried it for the first time at the weekend (OH thought I was mad) and its brilliant! I tried drying the washing outside, in the tumbler and on an airer and none of it smelt like chip shop! All lovely and soft too

On the vinegar front - I have been putting it in the usual fabric softener compartment in the drawer and the powder stright into the drum (I only use a small amount of powder too, about size of 2 tablespoons)0

Okay, I think you may have me convinced enough to try it. Think I'll hide it from OH though - he thinks I am going mad enough as it is!
Will let you know what happens...LBM 17th August 2009 Debt at LBM £18,612 Proud to be dealing with my debts.0 -
Afternoon all!!
How sad am I.....I didnt dare to post this morning because I still hadnt sorted those letters that needed posting and I thought Fay would shout at me
(tho in a nice way!) But...
I'VE DONE THEM!!!!!! :j:j:j
So silly, it only took me 15 minutes when I got home from work to sort, address & stamp them - but I'd been putting it off for days! So now I can post without shame!!!
Today I have already....
- Checked online banking
- Quidco clicks
- SORTED LETTERS :j
- No heating on
- Packed lunches all round
- Hokey cokey
- Been to work
- Tidied kitchen
Still to happen....
- tea from freezer
- feet up in front of telly!!!
Isnt it silly, something you put off doing for ages actually takes such a short time when you get on with it!

*wanders off to ponder putting vinegar in the washing machine*0
