Seatwave complaint - suspended account

Options
Hey,

Just wanted a bit of advise. I've been selling tickets on Seatwave for the last 6 months and become a 'Pro Seller' which means I get paid on dispatch rather than waiting for the event.

I've made over £3500 worth of sales, had a slight issue with one for around £80, and my account has been suspended and I can no longer trade on Seatwave. I have read the User Agreement and did not break any of the terms, and this is was a big part of my income.

I have been in contact with the directors in the company and managing directors neither of which are listening or giving me details on how to externally complain about this treatment. They even suggested that I just create a new account, but obviously would only be paid after the event, I found this really unprofessional and made me question the reason why they permantly suspended my account.

Could anyone share with me the details of who regulates Seatwave so I can make a complaint

Thanks

Well, it says in their Ts and Cs that they are 'governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. You agree, as we do, to submit to the non exclusive jurisdiction of the English Courts.' but as the owners of the site state that:

'We have absolute discretion to take any action in relation to your account or any sales you may have pending, including issuing warnings, suspending or terminating provision of the Seatwave Service to you and any other action we deem suitable, if we consider in our sole opinion that you are in breach of this Agreement in any way' etc.

Have you actually lost any money through the changes to your account? I'm not really sure what you can expect from any official complaint as unless you have suffered any loss as a result of their closing your account, it is up to them who they allow to use their service and the terms they impose. I can appreciate that it is an inconvenience to you, but I'm not sure if there's much to be done.
  • Surely the OP has not lost money, but the process by which to make money efficiently?

Previously they were paid on dispatch, even if the event didn't take place for another year.

Now, if they open a new account, they must wait a year before receiving the funds.

Obviously these are extreme examples, but it would create for them a gulf between the purchase and the event so potentially several months without revenue, for no reason?
