whats it take to get banned from ebay ? - do they look at overall feedbak or over a recent period
Still waiting ( way overdue) for a item from a chap with very high feedback - over 99%
although gone to the dogs in the last week ( after I ordered)
in last 2 days , his 35 feedbacks have been 4 negs and 8 neutrals ( and my guess is there's a few more that won't have left negs , as it gets retailiated)
from feedback , its appears if/ when the item actually turns up it will be a item marked "promo version" rather than a normal retail version.

First of all before worrying about what it takes to get banned I would suggesting contacting the seller immidiately, if you can pull there information off eBay and give them a call.
With regard to the ban part of the post then I think a whole range of things can cause someone to get banned from eBay, probably too many to mention here, but I would think just like NPB's it will be a system of so many strikes (in terms of NPS) and you're out.
As your item is long overdue I would suggest starting a PayPal chargeback if you paid via this method, the fact the seller is receiving many negatives in recent weeks doesn't exactly inspire confidence and so if I were you I'd look to get my money back.Stuff Happens As Wave of Ambiguity Spreads:cool:0 -
Hi
Yes started the paypal claim already, after no reply to my emails
The bit about banned ... thats was more just out of interest, if ebay systems automatically pick up on such things or notAny posts on here are for information and discussion purposes only and shouldn't be seen as (financial) advice.0 -
There isn't any automatic ban for a high number of negs, a seller with lots of negs wouldn't get any bidders anyway.
If enough people put in non performing selling complaints that might push ebay into suspending the seller, but even that isn't automatic.

Soo
How do you put in a non performing selling complaint.I paid for an item through paypal and I haven't received it. I paid £47 for the item and I put in place a paypal charge back when the seller would not respond to any emails or answer the phone on the number listed on ebay contacts.
Paypal found in my favour but I only got £32 back as they say this is the maximum amount covered by paypal buyer protection.Paypal say that they will try to recover the rest of the money from the seller.I don't think I will get this as the seller has had negative feedback for everything they have sold but all positive for everything they have bought. Feedback was 100% when I bid on this item. The seller has since contacted me to ask whether I got my refund and to say that they had posted the item the day after I had won it.
Every time I try to report the seller through ebay it puts me to the paypal buyer complaint center. All I want to do is to do is put a non performing seller thingy on their account. I have left negative feedback. I know that ebay and paypal are linked in some way but will the fact that I put a paypal chargeback automatically put a slapped hand on the sellers account.sometimes you're the pigeon, sometimes you're the statue!0 -
If I win the paypal claim, will the seller still be able to post feedback ?Any posts on here are for information and discussion purposes only and shouldn't be seen as (financial) advice.0

I think so. I recentley got paypal claim awarded to me (less £15) and in 'my ebay' the listing is still live and in the action bar it has gone from paid to pay now?Strangesometimes you're the pigeon, sometimes you're the statue!0 -
Got an item number of the auction, we can then all avoid the sellerEBay is the holy grail of Auction Sites, use it to clear your unwanted items and generate you some income to spend on whatever you want. Just don't get addicted like me

'We've reviewed the evidence in this case and decided in your favour. As a
result, we have recovered funds from the seller, and 32.00 GBP has been
credited to your PayPal account. This is the maximum amount covered by
PayPal Buyer Protection.
If your claim was for more than the amount covered by PayPal Buyer
Protection, you are entitled to be paid the balance of the claim by the
seller. We will make our best effort to recover the balance from the seller.
Please be assured that we will take appropriate action against the seller
if the seller's account has insufficient funds to complete the refund owed
to you.'sometimes you're the pigeon, sometimes you're the statue!0 -
