My parents have a BT Vision box that they no longer use.
Does anyone know if i could use the box as just a freeview box and use the recorder that is inbuilt to record the freeview channels without being connected to BT ??

will not work ,needs to have a live BT broadband connection to bootand think it only works on thline it is set up onEx forum ambassador

sorry mate, wont work, as the other reply says you need an active bt broadband connection, to be honest i have had bt vision for nearly 2 years....go somewhere alse, quite expensive for not alot!0
