hmmmm have really had one of those days today, am knackered!!!
Well it all started last night when i took my stepmum to go on the sunbed as she's going on holiday tomorrow and wanted to top her tan up before she went
(and before anyone says, I know sunbeds are very naughty and horrid and bad for you) but because I'd taken her she paid for me to go on as well. Now don't get me wrong I don't go on a sunbed often, I like to have just a tiny bit of colour so that I'm not quite so floUrescent (sp?) white. But I went on these sunbeds for the same amount of time I would go on my usual sunbed... and boy did I get burnt(and yes I know getting burnt on a sunbed is very bad for you, but it really wasn't deliberate).
But the worst thing was I didn't realise how burnt I was until this morning, when I got up, and I am seriously tangerine/tomato coloured, bringing a whole new meaning to the saying you've been tangoed!!!! All the foundation in the world couldn't cover my rudolph nose up and my whole body is just a little bit sore. Then I remembered we had a stupid team building/crappy excercise of mountain biking all day, down hills and across rocky places etc....oh the joy...
It didn't turn out as well as I'd hoped, firstly I was very nearly sick as I get travel sick on the way there and started heaving infront of my boss, how very attractive of me! Then when we got the bikes out, there was no ladies saddle, which wouldn't have been too bad except the saddles they did have on, were sports type seats, with no padding whatsoever, the whole saddle was about the size of my hand!!!
Now as you know I'm not the skinniest of minnies being on a diet and all, and have rather a lot of my own padding, but my goodness I could have done with two duck downe pillows on there....my bum is soooo sore now!!!! So on top of the sunburn I now have a very sore bum, I bet I looked one hell of a sight, trying to get out of the car when I got home this evening, I had practically fused to the seat!!!! I think for once I might have rather been at work!!!
Sorry that's enough of me rambling on about my day. Money saving wise, well I had to draw out a tenner for a very expensive lunch, as the only place to have it was in a super expensive cafe, so that's a tenner gone. But on the up side I had dinner at my nanny's, it was super lovely and free
. And I get paid tomorrow so I can start my budget properly!!! wooo hooo.
speak soon

Hi Missy -
Sorry about your sunbed incident, hope the sunburn goes down soon!
You look like your doing well, I also enjoy chatting on here, esp as I can be honest about my debts, non of my friends or family know about it so its such a relief to chat about it

I know exactly what you mean moneytroubles, it has really helped me chatting on here. It has really made me think about every penny!! Which is what I need! How are you hun,I hope you're well?
Well in my little 30 minute interlude I've just been very productive :A, I've potted up my soup and put it in the freezer, (for the soup I used 6 carrots one parsnip, 2 potatoes and some veg stock... and some five spice, and I've just made 7 dinners worth of soup, all the ingredients probably only cost a couple of quid!!! Huge result!!!! :T
I also packed my sports kit for tomorrow, (depending on how sore my bum is!!!!) I also made my lunch, put my clothes in the wash bin, put the dishwasher on and washed and dried up!!!! It's amazing what half an hour can do, so glad I did it now otherwise I would have been hugely rushing about in the morning!!
Still need to do my meal plan have been meaning to do it for ages!!! Will take an inventry of whats in the fridge/freezer first I think and then go from there.0 -
Wow you have been busy! I haven't moved in about 2 hours but that's because I have an abscess and im in a lot of pain and can't move

And lucky you having time off work, I had monday off as I had to pick up my car, but I got sooo much done, I hate going to work, I just spend all day thinking of the stuff I could be doing at home!!0 -

Hi Missymoo,
Hope youre ok and that your exercises are going well too. I've recently fixed my bike so will try to cycle a little bit, both for exercise and instead of using the car for short journeys.
Also posting two Ebay items tomorrow. Probably only make about £20.00 in total after postage but £20.00 helps pay some bill or buy groceries.
OH has another job interview on Thursday - basically more cash, better hours and less travelling than the job she hasn't even started yet! Will update own DFw Diary at weekend
:hello:DFW'er - Lightbulb moment : 31st July 2009 - £18,499
28th October 2019 - £13,505 - 27% paid off.
Demolishing my House of Debt.. one brick at a time!!
