christmas cross stitch frame

not really sure where to put this......

Before I spend hours creating my own I wondered if anyone could help.

I would like to make my own christmas cards this year - normally we send 2 - one from the baby with his photo on the front looking christmassy (in lovely poundland photoframe cards) and one from me (with a cross-stitch design on the front).

This year I'd like to incorperate the 2. I was thinking stick the piccie to the card and put a cross-stitched frame around it.

Does anyone know where i can find charts for the frames?? did a quick google but have the house to clean and can't spend much longer searching.

not really. I want to physically stitch a frame and put a photo in e.g. http://crossstitch.about.com/od/christmascrossstitch/ig/Christmas-Tree-Saying-Pattern-/Christmas-Tree-Saying-Model.htm but not as tacky a design!!

ohh just found these - http://hobbyloco.com/XSpatterns5.html - so using the border outline in the 1st linky i can easily make some.

Unless anyone comes up with anything better before the weekend?

Here's some places that might have free christmas border designs. In this situation though I'd normally get some graph paper out and design me own!!

I know this isn't actually about a cross-stitch frame, but you might find it useful anyway - it's a free computer programme which generates a cross-stitch chart for wording.

Type in your text, choose a font and whether you want the text centred etc etc ... and it makes it into a printable chart for you. I find it really handy

ohh i'd not looked at the chart shop for agessss now I want to stitch chritmassy ideas....

hmmm - to stitch a whole card and just put a photo of babywiggle in it.........
