go to control panel and power option.

The display was set to go off after 20 mins, but it switching off wasn't the problem. The problem was that its so hard to get back on. I've set it to "never" swich off/stand-by now.

Its a Xerox, its older than the base unit. I bought it with the old PC & its so nice I kept it when I got my new PC.

    Its a desk top.

    It's the monitor

Replace the capacitors on the power board

Haha :p but seriously they exist, I had to replace them in my own Xerox and I wish I would have made a video tutorial on how to replace them because it's quite easy and costs just under £3 when you buy the capacitors from maplans (or whatever it's called) :p

Seriously though its £60 for some doggy repair man to keep it for 6 weeks and replace them or 1 hour, bit of solder and £3 and it run's beautifully after.

    Groovy yeah ;)

Did the same thing happen to yours?

Its hard to turn it on now (the PC), because the screen keeps going black/off:mad:

Might be getting worse, does that sound right?
