  • Ok maybe a different idea, can I have your advice on this guys, I can't decide how it would look. The other option we could go for is black and white dresses9the same as the purple) but leave petes, best man and page boys cravats and hankies pink and have my flower girl in a white dress with big pink bow.

This pic is bad but you get the general jist! Would that look ok with black and white brdiesmaids

  • I love the purple dress not so keen on the pink one I think it's a bit too much and in your face.

You could always have 2 slightly different styles short for some, long for the other. As long as the colours are the same. Sometimes it can add interset rather than the "set" look that many go for.
Kelsey Rose http://www.kelseyrose.co.uk/Collection.html has a great selection and all their colours will be the same so chosing 2 styles in the same colour should be a breeze.

Do you know what price range their dresses are please linda?

Not overly sure. http://www.bridesmaidsandbutterflies.co.uk/contact.htm is a link for more information. It is really frustrating to find something you like but no prices! I hate that! We so want prices don't we ladies?

rach. Love your dress. Suits you no end. Not over keen on the purple I'm afraid. The splash of white is to fussy. You want to be center of attention and I fear anything to fussy will fight to compete with you. My opinion would be to keep it simple. Defo consider black, maybe with a coloured sash which ties at the front?

personally i think the style of the pink dresses is too much, but i have seen pics of lots of weddings that have had hot pink as the colour scheme and they've looked absolutely stunning! could you not stick with the hot pink and go for a shorter (and probably cheaper!!) BM dress? after all, they are your BM's, they dont need such a huge stunning dress ;)

PS i'm biased cos i love hot pink and OH wont let me have it :( lol

    Hi Linda,

What about going for a plain hot pink dress for bridesmaids then or do you think it would be a bit too much? I love the pink on Pete and was planning my whole theme to be pink. I am having 2 adult bridesmaids and one younger one, younger one is 9 so I'm not sure to do her as a flowergirl or wear the same as big ones.

If your OH is anything like mine you will get your own way in the end!! LOL. All along he said he didn't want pink or tails, oh guess whatI got both hehe. I'm looking so hard for pink dresses as that is what I am desperate to have.

The colour isn't the issue, the style maybe. Hot pink would be fab. Black with a hot pink bow would be fab but the dresses may need to be a little more conservative to carry the bow IYKWIM.:D
Because your gown has detail and you will more than likely wear a veil, tiara and carry flowers, you have to look at the overall picture. Have you done a mood board where you add everything together that you like? They are very helpful. You can add styles and colours and begin to get more of a feel for the overall look.

If this is the future groom in the picture, I think he looks fab in the pink.
