Both same phone.

Vodafone
£25 a month
£90 quidco cashback

Orange
£30 a month
£150 quidco cashback

18 months, so overall difference is £30.

So its really a matter of which one I want.

Orange + of orange wednesdays.

Are Orange phones unlocked?

I have had O2 contract and their upgrade options are, well lets see, ****. Hence the move. But both phones I have had from them have been unlocked which I have found useful if a friend wants to use them. But I know Vodafones are locked.

Opinions please!

  • Can't say for all phones on Vodafone, but mine came unlocked. And you can just request for it to be unlocked anyway and they will give you the network unlock code to do so. Can't say the customer service is great though, just look at all the boards complaining about them.
  • Vodafone's, unless you have an exclusive handset (Magic/Storm) are unlocked free of charge.

ooo I always thought they were locked. So at least if I go for Vodafone I can still use my orange PAYG sim card for orange wednesdays (Y)
  • I would pick orange, as i have better experience with their customer services.
And Damn quidco, the cashback was only £50 2 weeks ago.
Although no trees were harmed during the creation of this post, a large number of electrons were greatly inconvenienced.

There are two ways of constructing a software design: One way is to make it so simple that there are obviously no deficiencies, and the other way is to make it so complicated that there are no obvious deficiencies
