Hi folks,

Everest have contacted us and asked us to pass on this message, which will hopefully be of some help to you:

From Everest Limited:
We are sorry that you are not satisfied with the installation of your Everest products and would like to invite you to contact us again to see if we can resolve the situation to your satisfaction. Given that personal details are involved we can only do this directly, therefore please email "Customer_Relations 'at' everestlimited.co.uk". This email address has been specifically created in order to ensure that emails sent to it are responded to as soon as possible by a senior Everest representative.
Yet they didn't even take the time to officially register a representative and post themselves.

Speaks volumes to me.

I had Everest windows which were very good UNTIL I needed after sales !

Had a broken pane of glass (son thought it was easier to attract sister's attention by throwing stones at window rather than ringing door bell !)

It took Everest about 3 months to bring out a new sealed glazing unit. He fitted it, then I saw that the glazing bar inside the unit was a different size to the old one (and every other one in the house).
He said he would leave the new one and get another with the correct bar.
3 months later Everest rang me and say they don't make that size of bar anymore ! Luckily, I had kept the old unit so I told them to come and collect the old one and use the bar in that to make a new one - 3 months later......... and 3 months later................. !
Eventually, I even had the area manager out - It was done in the end but took well over a year - we settled on 25% of the quoted price !

I got a local firm to replace some windows in my present house.
• update - Everest are supposed to be coming to put some things right in a few weeks. there has been no discussion of which things, though. Watch this space.

• Well they did come today and have done some things. Not sure exactly what, though, since they have chosen not to discuss it with us!!!
