Everest Double Glazing.

I should have checked this forum before I ordered double glazing from Everest.
Although their products are probably the best on the market, their quality of installation and after sales service are a disgrace. I had 6 windows and a front door installed in December, 2008. It took 3 months for them to correct manufacturing and installation defects with the windows. The door is another matter. Everest installed a damaged door with several chips through the veneer and then refused to replace it. They also stuck the letter box on with super glue which fell off within 24 hours, and fitted the wrong glass. I contacted the GGF but Everest ignored them. Everest have refused to replace the door and consider the matter closed.
It was a very expensive lesson. Be Warned.

Personally I think its not a bad idea to google any company you are considering having dealings with.
Whilst Everest may consider the matter closed, from what you have described it sounds like you are well within your rights to take the matter further if you wish.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. I wouldn't let them have a chance for any conversation that's how I feel about this sham of a company

I seem to recall Dan Everest contacted this board a few weeks back with a poster having problems and the poster came back saying that it was a empty gesture

The response from Everest is a joke. I have already spoken and written to John Bridge, who is the Customer Services Manager, at the Everest Head Office. That turned out to be a complete waste of time.
I have also spoken to, and writtten to, Barclays Partner Finance. Another waste of time.
The sooner the word spreads about the shoddy service by Everest, the better.0 -
This is interesting. We have called EVEREST back to honour their guarantee.
They took a month to respond to our letter, and another month to visit.
Another month on, and we have heard nothing from their "engineer" despite telephoning the office to say we had heard nothing.
We will take this further, but the service is dreadful. I would definitely advise anyone considering a purchase to view the guarantee with healthy scepticism. Please do not confuse me with other gratefulsforhelp. x0 -

Struggling to see how "their products are probably the best on the market".
To be honest, they've had a bad reputation for as long as I can remember (20+ years) and I would never, ever buy from them.Warning ..... I'm a peri-menopausal axe-wielding maniac0 -
The everest guy that hounded me lost him job soon after he was a rogue salesman. I then got hounded by Everest for many years later as I was on there phone call list of potential clients, took me ages to get rid of them
In end changed number and went ex directory best move ever made0
