We are staying at haven in a couple of weeks and was just wondering what kind of kitchen utensils to take?
Has anybody been and can tell me what kind of stuff will already be there?
Many thanks:D

ive been to haven a few times and always find the kitchen equipment is of a differing standard. A couple of times its been nice and a few times horrid. I always take some foil to line grill pans, oven trays etc. as these can be quite questionable in quality. Apart from that i usually just take a decent saucepan with me to cook basics like beans etc. I just make the most of whats there and if all else fails eat out.
Hope you have a nice time.0 -
they have all the basics,so you wont need to take anything with you,if your just in standerd accomidation there wont be a microwavebuzzyy0

I'll second the vote for foil! There isn't usually a toaster so we use the foil on the grill pan to make toast.
We also take -
a chopping board (which doubles up as little son's place mat)
A decent sized mug for hubbys morning pint of tea
Sharp knife that's actually sharp
all the other kitchen stuff is usually fine after a quick wash
Have a great time, we came back from Devon Cliffs a few weeks ago and could have happily stayed longer.0 -
Hi,
We've just been to primrose valley. The utensils were fine except there were no scissors or frying pan. Bacon and scrambled egg is just not the same!Sealed Pot Challenge #817 £50 banked0 -
We usually stay in a caravan two or three times a year, this is what we always take with us....
Foil
Black Bags (for rubbish and dirty washing)
Sharp Knife
Cooking Oil
Tea, Coffee, Sugar
Salt, Vinegar and Tomato Sauce
Washing up Liquid and Brush
Tea Towel
Dish Cloth
Kitchen Roll
Playing Cards
Book
PS2 (to keep the kids quiet)
Phone Chargers
Paracetamol and Plasters
Towels
And don`t forget the most Important.....
LOO ROLL :rotfl:
You could of course buy most of this suff in the `on-site` shop,
but you`ll pay well for it
GOOD LUCK :beer:0 -
We do the same, stay a couple of times a year, they are generally well equipped and have most of what you will need but in addition we always take:
Black Bags,
Cooking Oil,
Tea/Coffee Sugar,
Washing up liquid,
Hand wash (usually the dregs of what is at home, so we dont have to bring it back),
Tea towel and dishcloth,
Stardrops or some sort of cleaner - sometimes the benches need a good wash,
Kitchen rolls and toilet rolls,
Many towels,
A small hand towel (dark) as a bathmat,
A camping washing line (to dry towels indoors),
Our own pillows - you only get one pillow per person and they are usually very poor.
A box with essentials in: milk, cereal, bread, butter so you can at least cater for breakfasts.
First aid kit,
DVD player and some DVD's for the rainy afternoons.
Hope you have a fantastic time - I have been to lots of Haven sites and only had one bad one over the last 14 years. You can stand there and agonize........

been there twice this year. hubby and sons love it for the fishing. we have booked for next year already but have upgraded to the lakeside exclusive caravans.
there is not a huge amount to do on the site but we always enjoy it. we are even thinking about buying a caravan there in a couple of years if we can afford it.
have a great time xxx0 -
hi, i to are hoping to go to a haven site, sorry of topic, but i am going with a one year old and not sure with one to go with near the manchester area: cal gran, hafan y mor, presthaven sands and marton mere, the last two are dearer, thanks for any help0

Hi, we went to hafan y mor in june this year it is a really big park with plenty to do. The indoor pool is huge. It is the best haven we have been to. Earlier in the year we went to cala gran it is quite small but we still enjoyed it and there is a good farm across the road to it. We went to presthaven sands last year it is a good park just a bit run down we thought. Hope this is some help!0
