Lightening took my fridge out!

We lost power here about 20 mins ago due to lightening hitting something near here  :T which took out the local lights for about a minute. Everything else seems to be working except the fridge. I've changed the plug fuse (tried two to check) but it's not coming on. Do I need to buy a fridge tomorrow?

Firstly plug summat else into the socket to prove the socket OK
Then does the light come on in the fridge??
Does the inside of the plug look "normal"??
Is the connection block at the back of the fridge discoloured/fried/ not there anymore??
Is the fridge making any noise at all??The quicker you fall behind, the longer you have to catch up...0 -

I plugged the kettle in and the light didn't come on on the kettle. Is there a fuse in that wall box or is it something I shouldn't touch?!Mr_Proctalgia wrote:Firstly plug summat else into the socket to prove the socket OK

Inside of plug looks normal.
The back of the fridge looks ok (not that I'm sure what it normally looks like!). It's a fridge freezer with small compartment on top.
Thanks for your help.:)
