Mobile phone Coverage in Cumbria

Apologies if this question has come up in some form before but I couldn't find it! We are in the process of relocating to Cumbria and are wondering what mobile provider gives best coverage for this area as I understand it is patchy in some places. We both have PAYG cheap phones as we only use them for emergencies rather than our main contact which is the landline. Does anyone have any recommendations? I have had a look at the coverage maps each supplier has and they're a bit confusing so thought I would just appeal here! After all no point in buying a new phone if it then doesn't make any calls! Many thanks

I have been to all places in Lake District with phones. Vodafone had coverage everywhere. T-mobile was the worst! Three also had poor coverage in remote areas.
Happiness is buying an item and then not checking its price after a month to discover it was reduced further.

    Hi jcw17

Moving is always really stressful! I still have boxes packed from my last move!

If you would like any help with this, PM me your new postcode I'll happily check what kind of Vodafone coverage you can expect where you're moving to.

Cumbria is beautiful - you'll love it!

    where abouts in Cumbria??

We've found O2 has a fantastic service. Orange was OK. can't comment on any others as we've never used them.

If your planning on moving to Hawkshead or Askham or anywhere seemingly remote then you can kiss goodbye to mobile signal.
loves how my "I've been censored" signature has been censored. LOL. Happy Christmas. :xmastree:

Thanks for all the info, currently we both have T-mobile which somehow I just knew was not going to be the best one! We are hoping to move to somewhere around the Cockermouth area so CA13 postcode but my husband travels across most of northern Cumbria for work so we are out of the National Park and therefore the really big hills!! thanks again
