Mobile phone release dates

I am looking to get a new phone, problem is I am so confused about which ones are newer etc. There seem to loads out there and I just wanted a way of seeing which ones are the most recently released.

E.g. I have seen samsung tocco lite, samsung jet, samsung tocco extreme (or something!?) - I need to know which one is the most recent, as I am not paying more per month for the older ones!

Go for the phone based on how easy-to-use, reliable and featured it is, not on how long it's been out.

  • yes, but if I pay £30 a month for a phone that is older and has less features (or slower features) than one that is released more recently, then surely I am being stupid - and I can sit and trawl through all the functions of each individual phone and try to compare their features, but I just thought an easy way would be to find out which ones are newer.

I really just need a phone, which can text and GPS would be good, cos I am always getting lost in london, but apart from that, I never use the camera on mine, I would never go online, or look at email, or use any 'apps' - it would be nice to find one where teh battery didn't die after 30 seconds using the stupid thing.
