A quick phone contract question?
Hello all,
please excuse my ignorance (:rotfl:) but I have a question about the automatic renewal of phone contracts. I currently have an 18 month contract, am I correct in thinking that this contract will automatically renew itself unless I cancel it before the 18th month?
Will this effectively lock me in for another 18 months if I don't cancel?
Thanks very much for your help

It should just go on a month to month basis after the initial 18 months. (Meaning give them a months notice if you want to cancel)

Thanks very much! This is the sort of thing I should check before I enter these things, but you know how it is
Heaven forbid I should be locked in for another 18 months! eek!0 -
Mobile contracts do not renew or expire, per se. You enter into a 12 (or 18, or 24) month minimum term when you sign, meaning you agree to stay for that period at least. After this, you go from month-to-month, either side being able to give 30 days notice to terminate.
Check your provider T&C's for the exact wording applicable to you.Starting Debt: ~£20,000 01/01/2009. DFD: 20/11/2009 :j
