Asda in Livingston had plenty last night.

Could anyone tell me how good the laser leveller is? I was looking at buying one of these on its own (I already have enough drills), but I don't want to shell out the cash on something I might find isn't any good.

    Cheers to the OP.

I'm after another one of these for my Dad so if some kind soul would buy one for me I'd be grateful , none left in my local Asda now . I'll obviously cover the postage & pay up front .
    Cheers

According to that link, the drill has the laser built in, so is it the built in laser AND the free laser seperate?

I assume the built in laser is for lining the drill bit up rather than the free laser LEVEL for making sure shelves are level etc Right???

Morph3us, the laser level is a standalone item, the only integration seems to be that it clips onto the drill to store out of use.

The idea is that you determine one point of a line (horizontal or vertical), line the level up so the laser beam passes through the original point, attach it to the wall or get someone to hold it, then with the line projected up or down from the original mark, mark the line or points on the wall. With the laser off, you then just drill the marks as usual.

The laser is basic, with two bubbles as a spirit level would have. I wouldn't say it is worth £20/£25 on its own and if you really don't want the drill it's not worth it.

Spend a bit more for a laser (elsewhere), even for a B&D and you can get a more substantial offering. We bought my dad one last year that has a self levelling mode as well as a fixed line.

Basingstoke Branch have none, and the staff were unaware of it.

Anyone know if the ones around sutton (roehampton, sutton centre, beddington) have any?
