Oh valli you've made me laugh. I've just been cleaning out my body shop facial moisturiser pot to put a sample in.... let's hope no-one steals my handbag on the way to the doctors!!!!
Hope your burn feels better soon - they can be soooooo sore! xx
But they blitzed it with nurofen (before it was off prescription) and I am all better now! I was very lucky it burnt out...

Sorry for TMI!! I'm wondering if he's had a stomach bug and that's what all the pain was on Friday. Think i'll phone the doctor on Monday and see what they say. Fingers crossed because I have ulcerative colitis and i'd really, really rather he's not got anything like that.
It might be worth a phone call to the out of hours service tonight, just to ask them what to do. A quick google suggests you should ring, just in case... How old is he? From what I can remember (my mum has ulcerative colitis too, and there's a possibility that I have it), ulcerative colitis usually develops during teens (I was hospitalised at 14), but frequently doesn't become consistently problematic (and is not therefore diagnosed) until later in life.
Washing up done and kitchen tidied/wiped so that it's looking vaguely respectable. Phone and ipod charging... I must remember that I have to drop the car off by 8am at the latest.
And I might actually go and find the map so I can check for a better footpath route to the station...0 -
Evening ladies
A big thank you to Pigpen and both Toots for managing the thread - glad its kitchen day as mine looks like an explosion has gone off in there
I had a quick read of the last one and the start of this but my head is like a seive and I cannot remember who's done what other than valli and her burn :rotfl:! Sorry but I've burnt my tummy loads of times, usually when I'm getting ready to go out. Definitely expose to the air where possible and keep covered if clothes are likely to rub it or it might get dirty. You can buy proper burns plasters which are really good, they look like a very thick piece of skin and are waterproof and stay on for ages.
I know there was someone new and some returners so welcome and welcome back
Mudbath hugs for your DS and I hope you get him seen and sorted soon.
Oh and what have I done today
Thought I would have a 'nice' day and make some lovely things in the kitchen. The only thing that was successful was a nice big bloddy mess!
I tried making the bread from Economy Gastronomy as it was supposed to be goodmine wasnt and DD refused to eat it after trying a very small piece although DH said it was lovely but then this is the guy who made a chilli soup with 50 - 60 of the tiny really hot chillies and 50 - 60 scotch bonnet chillies .
I then made cherry muffns for the kids and over filled them so they spilled out, then I forgot the timer and the edges started to burn.
After deciding that the bread would probably end up being thrown away in a couple of days I found a recipe for fresh currant bread and butter pudding. Using frozen rasp to go with the redcurrants wasnt such a good idea as there was too much liquid and the darn thing didnt set. Poor DH he'll give a go though.
I'm supposed to be updating finances now but my time slot says bed so will hopefully catch up tomorrow.
PS can we have some positive vibes for DH as he has his final assessments tomorrow to see if he is competent to remain in his current role (following his disciplinary in June)Mortgage, we're getting there with the end in sight £6587 07/23, otherwise free of the debt thanks to MSE help!0 -

Hi there, I'm in again this week. I was in Portugal last week so I didn't do any flying at all, I had a lovely relaxing break instead. Back at work in the morning, so this is just a quickie before I get off to bed - well, after putting on the DW, WM & dryer. DH & I built a wardrobe today for DS's bedroom. We are really chuffed with it. I still need to do his bedside table and chest of drawers but I think I can manage those on my own.
Right, here is my list. It will be much reduced tomorrow!

Welcome to Daphne D
I'm going to have a late night tonight. We live right next to a part of Manchester where they celebrate Eid in VERY LOUD style. Cue car horns and shouting since 7pm tonight. Will probably go on til well after Midnight. Fun sometimes, but not when boyfriend has to be up early for his train to college.
Hugs to everyone, hope you all have a good week
